Windows is more widespread, and therefore, more vulnerable: Is it really the case?أرسل من قبل strontium90 في الإثنين, 2008/07/21 - 1:40am.
Just read an article that nicely refutes this argument which tries to justify inherent vulnerabilty problems with Microsoft Windows operating systems and software. Even though their permitting conditions are quickly resolved, notice how the work-around of several Linux viruses described in the article boils down to few good practices and general rules of thumb followed not only by Linux users but by Unix users community at large. ( معلوماتية )
Linux users are usually college students, programmers and webmasters.
And hackers
Actually we should have a look at the comparison of Windows and Linux Security .
And Linux that claims its platform is more secure because all of its code is reviewed by so many people that bugs are detected (referred to as Linus's law).
While Windows that claims its platform is more secure because of a comprehensive approach to security using the Security Development Lifecycle. However, due to the nature of closed source, only company programmers can fix bugs.
While I was searching by using Google I came across this interesting topic that is talking about " Debunking the Linux Virus Myth ".
I think you better have a look at some of the commentators out there. Linux users are usually college students, programmers and webmasters. Of course they're less likely to fall for malicious software claims, and less likely to execute code they don't trust. So here is a new claim Certainly, but that wasn't all that I wished for a reader of the article to retain. The other basic idea is that the operating system itself, through its design, helps the user to find workarounds to potential problems before they occur.

That article doesn't refute anything!
"Here is this argument that I don't believe, because it's coming from a Windows user!
And Here is a bunch of information about Linux viruses"
So?!!
And in the spirit of providing no statistics:

Linux users are usually college students, programmers and webmasters. Of course they're less likely to fall for malicious software claims, and less likely to execute code they don't trust.
So here is a new claim
Linux are less vulnerable because of its users.
