Surely,the more passwords ,the more security.

So I chose "Each account has its own password".

Some recommendations for creating passwords:

(1) Passwords should be at least 8 characters long and is recommended that it contains at least one special character.
(2) Easily guessed passwords, such as generally used words or words related to personal hobbies or information, are unacceptable.
(3) It is recommended that passwords be changed once a month.
(4) In principle, system administrators shall create and manage passwords of their systems. Passwords may be written down, but not such that unauthorized users could identify the equipment or system involved. The entire string of password characters may not be written in an easily decipherable form.
(5) Users may not speak their password out loud, or keep items near themselves that could be a clue for their password.
(6) A new password may not be the same password used before, even if it is not updated consecutively.
(7) A user may not reuse a password, even if for another system.

One-time password:
(1) One-time passwords must be in a form that requires authentication e.g. a PIN (personal identification number).
(2) Only equipment that requires user authentication by time synchronization shall be used.
(3) The one-time password generator should be handled so that unauthorized users cannot see clues for passwords, such as PINs.

Well, I have a series of strongly built passwords, and each account or email has one of them.
When I want to sign in to one of my old accounts or when I forget the password for the account, all I do is enter my series one by one till one of them work

oh my god , if you forgot one of them , you try them all
i have a question , if your passwords are more than 8 chars, and they are to strong (chars,numbers,symbols,...etc)
and you have one for each account, then how many account's you have? , and how you remember all of them?

I didn't say that each account has its own unique password, I said that each account must be one of my passwords which are 7 or 8, but my accounts? search for mpcabd in Google and you'll count the most famous ones

I have the same technique as mpcabd, which I am used to call "PasswordPool"

 

That is: when I need a password I choose on from the pool , so that If I can't remember it , simply I can try them all but the order of the attempt process has a very unique algorithm (secret)

about the "PasswordPool" , I guess it's algorithm pick a password depending on the email,isn't it??

For me, it depends on how old is the account, 'cuz my passwords evolute just like any other creature, from 6 characters to 14 characters and more
When I first had to choose a password it was not that hard and so on

i guess that, cuz "Ammar_N" said that's there is an algorithm designed to recover his passwords that's the first think i thought about..

Recently I've changed some of my accounts passwords especially the "Hotmail" one since it's the main email for me.
I used a password of 14 characters long.

Actually I did that since I felt that someone try to spy on my account !

I advise every one to have your passwords stronger enough, and change them every 3 months @ least (IMO).

Well, you've just reduced your password strength significantly by announcing its length publicly
